Area Information

Named after the "Lumbang" tree, Lumban is one of the oldest towns in Laguna, Philippines. It lies 104 kilometers Southeast of Manila and is home to the famous Lake Caliraya.

Lumban is also known as the "Embroidery Capital of the Philippines" where fine Jusi and Piña cloths are being embroidered by hands. The finished products are worn as Barong Tagalog for men and as Saya for women. The Jusi and Piña cloths are also being exported and worn by westerners.

Location Information

For guests coming from Metro Manila / Airport

• Take the South Expressway, then proceed to Calamba Exit
• At the Calamba crossing, turn right
• Go straight ahead, using the highway, passing  the towns of Los Baños, Bay , Victoria, Pila, Sta. Cruz and Pagsanjan
• After passing the Pagsanjan Archway, you will see a T road ( atop is a Catholic Church)
• On this T road, turn left to Lumban, then cross Lumban Bridge
• 500 meters after Lumban Bridge, take the road to your right that goes uphill to Caliraya Lake
